Harish Rao terms Revanth Reddy’s ‘Nallamala Declaration’ a gimmick

Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao took a jibe at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for turning the Congress’ declarations into mere publicity stunts without any commitment to implementation.

He made the remarks in the wake of ‘Nallamala Declaration’ released by the Chief Minister, ridiculing the government’s failure to translate words into action and implement the declarations in reality.

“Farmers’ Declaration is stuck, BC Declaration has lost direction, and now the Nallamala Declaration joins the list of forgotten promises,” he said.

In a statement, Harish Rao condemned the pre-emptive arrests of Chenchu youth and tribal leaders who came to meet Revanth Reddy ahead of the Nallamala Declaration, questioning the Chief Minister’s motive. He castigated the Chief Minister for the arrests, terming such actions as betrayal of the people the declaration claimed to support.

He said the Chief Minister’s speeches are long on self-praise but short on substance. “People are not inspired by slogans anymore, they are haunted by your unfulfilled promises,” he added.

The senior BRS MLA listed pending welfare assurances: crop loss compensation, Mahalakshmi scheme benefits, Vidya Bharosa cards, and unfulfilled job promises. “Even pensioners, disabled citizens, and RTC workers are still waiting for relief,” he noted.

“Revanth Reddy’s governance is all talk and less delivery,” he quipped, thanking that the Chief Minister had at least stopped talking about implementation of six guarantees.
