HYDERABAD: Two policemen were caught taking a nap during duty hours at Bandlaguda on Wednesday night.
The policemen – constable Shahbaz and homeguard Imran both working at Bandlaguda police station were on patrolling car duty on Wednesday night. Around 3 am, both of them had parked there car near the house of a gutkha trader at Kings Avenue colony in Bandlaguda and went to sleep in a room meant for guest.
The special shadow team of the Hyderabad police who checked the premises found the policemen in deep sleep in the room. The shadow team was formed to keep a tab on the activities of the policemen and report any discrepancy to higher officials.
The policemen had parked the vehicle at a secluded place and went to sleep. The local people informed that regularly the police vehicles are parked at then place and cops sleeping in the room.
Two days ago, a home guard and a constable were also caught by the shadow team at another police station located nearby.
