Hyderabad: Miss World contestants laud Singareni Seva Samithi women entrepreneurs

The Miss World contestants at Singareni Seva Samithi stall in Shilparamam on Thursday.
Hyderabad: As part of the Miss World pageant tour, the contestants visited Shilparamam on Thursday. Following this, they toured the Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar located nearby, where they visited the Singareni Seva Samithi stall run by self-help women entrepreneurs.
The contestants expressed delight while exploring bags, purses, and handloom garments displayed at the stall – all crafted by women trained under various Seva Samithi units from different Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) areas.
Interacting with the women entrepreneurs, they enquired about the process behind the handmade products and took selfies with them. The Miss World delegates appreciated the quality and craftsmanship of the items on display, remarking that the products were beautifully made.
The Seva Samithi women expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chairman & Managing Director, SCCL, N Balram for providing them with training and encouraging their journey toward self-employment.
They also extended their thanks to SERP CEO Divya Devarajan for not only facilitating the stall setup in a prominent location like Hyderabad but also providing accommodation and transport.
