Siddipet: In a shocking incident, a woman murdered her months old son just to put an end to her strained married life at Appanapalli village on Wednesday.
The accused person Kavitha (22) enacted a kidnap drama initially. She told the family members that a couple of masked men stole her baby while she was at home on Wednesday afternoon. The family members registered a kidnap case in Dubbak police station.
During inquiry, the police got suspicious about her behaviour and questioned her. Kavitha, police said, confessed that she had thrown her son into a well near the house. The Dubbak police said that Kavitha, a resident of Narmetta, married Ramagalla Sriman of Pulluru in Siddipet mandal, some three years ago. However, Sriman had gone to jail as he was involved in multiple theft cases. They recently moved to Appanapally, Sriman’s maternal grandparents’ home.
Even after coming out of jail, Sriman harassed his wife when she decided to part ways with him. Then, Kavitha decided to kill her son to put an end to her three-year-long married life with Sriman. However, it landed her behind bars.
