Domestic flights arriving in Hyderabad are delayed slightly

Hyderabad: Operations at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) experienced minor delays on Sunday morning, particularly in the arrival of domestic flights. While most international flights landed on time, domestic air traffic appeared affected, likely due to thunderstorms in New Delhi that disrupted operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Several domestic flights arriving in Hyderabad were delayed by around 30 minutes. The delay is  attributed to disruptions in interconnected flight circuits caused by the weather conditions in Delhi.

According to a PTI report, a heavy thunderstorm accompanied by rain lashed the national capital overnight, leading to widespread waterlogging, uprooted trees, and damaged electricity poles. The India Meteorological Department reported wind gusts reaching 82 kmph and 81.2 mm of rain between 11:30 pm and 5:30 am.

Multiple areas, including Moti Bagh, Minto Road, Delhi Cantonment, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, witnessed partial submergence and infrastructure damage, further affecting the city’s air and road connectivity.
