HYDERABAD: Kolkata Knight Riders Captain Ajinkya Rahane said that while the Sunrisers Hyderabad batted well, his team made errors.
“They capitalised on the loose balls and hit the good balls as well. Their intent was great. (Taking pace off) We discussed it, going wide too, but if the bowler doesn’t execute it well, batters like Klaasen capitalise,” Rahane said in the post-match briefing after his team lost to SRH on Sunday night.
“Through the season, we had our moments. Two or three close games which we didn’t play well. We gave our best, in a format like this you have to be switched on always,” the India star said.
“If we’d taken those moments, we’d have been one or two. No regrets, all gave their best. We’ll come back strong next year,” Rahane said. “We made a few errors while bowling”: KKR skipper Rahane reflects on their defeat against SRH
“We were short on our execution part, but also made a lot of errors throughout the innings as a bowling unit. Throughout the season, we had our moments, we had our chances, two to three close games, which we thought we didn’t play well as a team,” Rahane said.
“Apart from that, we tried our best, we gave our best. A format like this, you have to be switched on everytime. This format is really tough and this IPL is really tough,” he said.
“But, no regrets, lots to learn from this season. We will come back stronger next year,” Rahane said
