Thunderstorms bring respite from heat in Hyderabad

The IMD-Hyderabad issued yellow alert of thunderstorms, lighting and gusty winds for entire week in most of Telangana

Thunderstorms and rain brought much needed relief in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: A timely spell of thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds at several locations in Hyderabad, especially in northern parts, on Thursday evening brought respite from severe heat and humidity of the past few days.
While the spell was very brief, the thundershowers covered Kukatpally, Miyapur, Madhapur, Hitec City, Ameerpet, Sanathnagar, Borabanda, Jubliee Hills, Gachibowli, Tolichowki, Shaikpet, Attapur, Khairtabad, Abids, Mehdipatnam and Nampally.
There is more good news with the IMD-Hyderabad forecast indicating thunderstorms remaining active till May 6.
In fact, the IMD-Hyderabad issued yellow alert of thunderstorms, lighting and gusty winds for entire week in KomaramBheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperatures in several districts including Adilabad, Hyderabad, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Mancherial, Mahabubnagar, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Nagarkurnool will continued to hover between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius.
