Adilabad: Farmers declared they still did not receive enhanced Rythu Bharosa assistance as promised by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. They made the declaration in front of a deity of Lord Shiva temple in model Mukhra (K) village in Echoda mandal on Thursday.
The farmers alleged that Revanth Reddy was lying by stating that all poll promises were being implemented. They said that his popular six guarantees were fake with none of them being extended. Only half of the farmers in the village have received crop loan waiver, while a few farmers got crop investment support, they remarked.
The farmers further said that both KCR Kits and nutrition kit were closed, while no one received 1 tola of gold under Kalyana Laxmi scheme. No scooter had been given to a single beneficiary, social security pension of Rs 4,000 per month had not been extended. Forget the new initiatives, many old schemes were scrapped, they pointed out.
The farmers recalled that the Chief Minister promised to provide Rythu Bharosa by August 15, but failed to implement his word. They demanded the State government to take steps to extend the crop investment support scheme and crop loan waiver in a full-fledged manner.
