Adilabad: Two persons working in a cowshed were booked for abusing cattle that were rescued by police while being illegally transported to a slaughter house, in Utnoor mandal headquarters on Thursday.

Utnoor ASP Kajal Singh, in a press statement, said that a case was registered against Aryan, an owner, and Raju, operator of Kamadhenu cowshed, from Utnoor mandal centre for misusing the oxen rescued recently. The two reportedly handed over the farm animals to others violating the norms.

Kajal Singh warned of stringent action against those who abuse the cattle involved in court cases.
