Nalgonda: Two members of notorious Parthi Gang were sentenced to 18 months of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 each by JFCM Court in connection with a major theft case reported in Chityal police station limits. In case of non-payment of the fine, an additional one-month simple imprisonment was imposed under IPC Section 379, according to a statement issued by Superintendent of Police P Sharath Chandra Pawar.

The accused were involved in numerous crimes across Telangana, including places such as Chityal, Narketpally and Kattangur in Nalgonda district, as well as areas under Rachakonda and Cyberabad Commissionerates, and Sangareddy. Their modus operandi involved attacking parked vehicles and looting gold and cash from passengers by pelting stones.

The accused Appa Pandrang Pawar and Dilshar Ashok Pawar, members of the Parthi Gang from Maharashtra, were apprehended following their involvement in a theft case registered under Kattangur police station limits last year.

Proper evidence was collected, and a chargesheet was filed by the police in the case leading to their conviction.

The gang has confessed to committing crimes in 32 cases across Nalgonda, Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda areas. Further investigations revealed additional cases against them, for which they are also facing sentences.

The SP commended the swift investigation and evidence gathering by the police officers, leading to the conviction of the culprits. He appreciated Inspector K Nagaraju of Narketpally along with others for their efforts.
