SCR conducts civil defence drills as part of pre-war preparedness initiative

Hyderabad: South Central Railway Civil Defence organisation undertook a mock drill at Kacheguda, Raichur and Aurangabad railway stations on Wednesday. The drill was undertaken as part of a broader pre-war preparedness initiative, aimed at strengthening emergency response mechanisms and inter-agency coordination in critical scenarios.
Along with the SCR, civil defence instructors and volunteers, Scouts and Guides, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel etc., simulated a hostile attack scenario and displayed evacuation procedures during the emergency preparedness with inter-agency coordination.
The drill featured comprehensive emergency response exercises and included activation of air raid warning sirens, implementation of crash blackout measures, testing power-down protocols to minimize visibility during a simulated aerial threat, evacuation plan rehearsals, facilitating coordinated passenger movement to designated safety zones.
