Bodies of three greyhounds jawans killed in maoist IED blast brought to Warangal for postmortem

The deceased jawans, Sandeep, Pawan Kalyan, and Sridhar, were killed when an improvised explosive device, triggered by Maoists, exploded in the forests of Penugolu-Perur, located in the Karregutta hills of Wazedu-Venkatapuram mandals in Mulugu district.

Bodies of three Greyhounds jawans brought to MGM Hospital in Warangal for postmortem.

Warangal: The bodies of three Telangana Greyhounds jawans who were killed in an IED blast in Mulugu district on Thursday were brought to MGM Hospital here for postmortem.

The deceased jawans, Sandeep, Pawan Kalyan and Sridhar died when they came under the impact of improvised explosive device triggered by Maoists in the forests of Penugolu-Perur spread in Karregutta hills in Wazedu-Venkatapuram mandals of Mulugu district.


An RSI Ranadhir who suffered serious injuries was shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment. The incident occurred when the Greyhounds jawans were carrying out regular combing operations in the forests.

DGP Dr. Jitender along with additional DSP (Greyhounds) M Stephen Raveendra reached Warangal to pay homage to the deceased jawans. They held a meeting with Warangal Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh.
