Hyderabad: Acknowledging the sacrifices of Indian soldiers, BRS senior leader and former Minister T Harish Rao on Saturday stated, “Borders are not just geographical boundaries. They represent the safety and future of our country. Our soldiers fight to protect them, and it is our responsibility to stand by them.”

In a strong show of support for the nation’s security forces, Harish Rao attended a solidarity event for Indian soldiers at Malla Reddy Health City in Suraram. Speaking at the gathering, Rao emphasised the importance of unwavering commitment to national security and praised the organisers for hosting the event.

He further condemned terrorist activities, referencing past attacks such as the Mumbai Taj Hotel siege and the global repercussions of terrorism originating from Pakistan. Rao stressed that patience had limits and that India must prioritise the safety of its citizens above all else.

For years, we have observed and endured. But now, the nation’s security is our primary concern. Every young man and woman must be prepared to make sacrifices in times like these,” he urged.

The event also highlighted the role of healthcare in supporting soldiers, with Malla Reddy Health University pledging to provide medical services whenever necessary. Rao reiterated the importance of civilian contributions, including blood donation drives to aid the armed forces.

“We may not be on the battlefield, but ensuring that our soldiers receive necessary medical care and support is a duty every citizen must uphold. Protecting the families of our soldiers is also our responsibility,” he stressed.
