Former leaders of Telangana employees, teachers organisations condemn CM Revanth’s remarks

Hyderabad: State-level leaders of various organisations that played a crucial role in the Telangana movement and in fighting for the rights of employees and teachers on Saturday strongly condemned the remarks by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, which they believed have undermined the self-respect of government employees.

In a meeting held on Saturday, prominent figures from various employee and teacher organizations expressed their discontent over the Chief Minister’s comments, which they claim were aimed at creating division between the people of Telangana and its workforce. The leaders emphasized that for decades, employees and teachers had stood shoulder-to-shoulder in the fight for Telangana’s rights, and attempts to drive a wedge between them were unacceptable.

Recognizing their collective responsibility to safeguard the interests of employees, teachers and pensioners, the former leaders decided to form a Coordination Committee to unify efforts towards addressing their concerns. They pledged to coordinate with all relevant associations to implement a comprehensive action plan for securing employee rights.

The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including former Minister V. Srinivas Goud, former MLC Paturi Sudhakar Reddy, former Employees JAC chairman G. Deviprasad Rao, former TNGO president Karam Ravinder Reddy, former State Employee Association president C. Vittal, and many other former heads of employee and teacher organisations across Telangana.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the dignity and welfare of employees and teachers and vowed to take decisive action in response to the Chief Minister’s remarks.
