Karimnagar: The Silver Filigree of Karimnagar (SIFKA) Handicrafts Welfare Society, known for its artefacts, is again in the limelight by manufacturing ‘saree pins’ for Miss World-2025 contestants.
SIFKA got an order from the State government to manufacture 30 saree pins. They were handed over to the government recently, with the Warangal Collector coordinating with SIFKA.
The saree pins are likely to be presented to the contestants during their visit to Warangal on Wednesday. They are slated to visit Ramappa temple, Thousand Pillar temple and Warangal fort.
It may be recalled here that SIFKA had manufactured 400 gifts for the wedding of Anant Ambani, son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, in July 2024. SIFKA had also prepared 200 silver badges for delegates who participated in the G20 summit held in New Delhi in September 2023. SIFKA got the Geographical Indication (GI) tag in 2007.
