Two caught for planning bomb blasts in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

The suspects Siraj, a native of Vizag in AP and Sameer, of Bhoiguda in Hyderabad were picked up after a tight surveillance was mounted on them following inputs of the duo planning terror strikes on the instructions of their handlers based in a foreign country.

Hyderabad: The Telangana and Andhra Pradesh police in a joint operation caught two persons who were allegedly planning to carry out bomb blasts in the two Telugu States. The police seized some incriminating material used in making bombs from them.

The suspects Siraj, a native of Vizag in AP and Sameer, of Bhoiguda in Hyderabad were picked up after a tight surveillance was mounted on them following inputs of the duo planning terror strikes on the instructions of their handlers based in a foreign country.


On the basis of information, the Visakhapatnam police picked up Siraj, who took the police to a house where material used in making explosives was kept. He also revealed the assistance and role of his partner, Sameer of Hyderabad.

The duo had first planned to conduct a dummy blast to test the efficiency of their product and later plan a series of blasts.
