Assam’s Operation Ghost SIM: One arrested from Telangana’s Sangareddy
Post Operation Sindoor, the Assam police had launched “Operation Ghost SIM” across the nation to track the persons who were using these fradulent SIM cards. The Assam police have so far nabbed seven persons including one in Telangana.

Sangareddy: The remote Gollapally village in Kondapur mandal, saw some drama on Saturday with Assam police nabbing an Assam native, Mofijul Aslam (19), who was allegedly using a ghost SIM card and working in a farmhouse in Sangareddy.
Post Operation Sindoor, the Assam police had launched “Operation Ghost SIM” across the nation to track the persons who were using these fradulent SIM cards. The Assam police have so far nabbed seven persons including one in Telangana.
According to the police, the WhatsApp accounts were created using fraudulent SIM cards with OTPs routed back to Pakistan. These SIM cards were reportedly used for cybercrime and anti-India activities.
With the arrest of Aslam with Pakistan links, the otherwise silent village was shocked. The Assam police carried out the operation with the support of Sangareddy police.
