Hyderabad Gulzar Houz blaze: 11 emergency vehicles, 70 personnel pressed into action

A total of 11 vehicles, one Fire Fighting Robot, 17 fire officers and 70 personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire and rescuing trapped persons.
Hyderabad: The Telangana Fire Disaster Response Emergency & Civil Defence said the first information on fire at the Gulzar Houz chowrastha was received at 6.16 am, after which the Moghalpura water tender and its crew were rushed to the scene. The first vehicle was despatched at 6.17 am and reached the spot at 6.20 am.
Due to the access constraints and to speed up the search and rescue operations, an assist call was given to other fire stations. A total of 12 appliances reached the spot and began firefighting and rescue operations. The crew and equipment were sent from the fire stations of the High Court, Gowliguda, Salar Jung Museum, Gandhi O/P, Rajendranagar, Secretariat and Langar Houz.
According to a statement, a total of 11 vehicles, one Fire Fighting Robot, 17 fire officers and 70 personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire and rescuing trapped persons. It took two hours to extinguish the fire. Advanced Fire Robot and Bronto Skylift hydraulic platform were also used in the operations and the suspected cause of the fire was under investigation.
