Terrorists duo arrested in Vizag were in contact with four more through Instagram

Hyderabad: The alleged terrorists duo arrested by the Vizag police were in contact with four more persons through Instagram and formed an Instagram group to plan and execute blasts in Hyderabad.
In a remand report, submitted by the Andhra Pradesh Police in the court on Monday, the police alleged that the group was in touch with ISIS handlers based in Saudi Arabia regularly.
The duo had reportedly told the police that they had several meetings between themselves on instructions of the ISIS handler.
The two arrested, Siraj Ur Rehman, 29, and Syed Sameer, 28, were allegedly assigned the task to make tiffin box bombs, while the remaining four of their associates had allegedly conducted a recce to identify potential targets around Hyderabad and also other cities in Andhra Pradesh.
Sources said that Siraj and Sameer revealed that they along with the four others who are from Karnataka and Maharashtra stayed in Hyderabad for three days. Siraj had ordered tiffin boxes, wires and remote cells through Amazon.
On Sunday in a joint operation the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Police arrested Siraj and Sameer and recovered substances including ammonia, sulphur, and aluminium powder, all commonly used in the preparation of explosives.
Both men have been sent to remand for 14 days by the Vizianagaram court. While Siraj hails from Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh, Sameer is from Bhoiguda in Secunderabad.
