Telangana: Truck driver killed in road crash on ORR at Ghatkesar Exit

Hyderabad: In a fatal mishap, a truck driver died on the spot after the truck he was driving went out of control and crashed into a stationary mild van on the Outer Ring Road near Taramathipet on the outskirts in Abdullapurmet on Monday.

According to the police, the driver, Mohd U Ali (40) from Howrah in West Bengal, was proceeding in the truck towards Ghatkesar when the mishap occurred. On reaching ORR towards Ghatkesar from Exit No.11, he lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into the milk van ahead.

Ali suffered grievous bleeding injuries and died in the cabin on the spot.

The other motorists passing by noticed the accident and immediately informed the police. With the help of the ORR patrol teams, both heavy vehicles were moved off the road and traffic was cleared.

The Abdullapurmet police booked a case of negligence causing death and are investigating. Surveillance cameras in the surroundings of the crime spot are being examined.
