Hyderabad: Four held for trying to sell fake tiger skin

Hyderabad: The Task Force (West) team nabbed four persons on charges of trying to sell fake tiger skin at Salarjung Colony in Langar Houz on Tuesday.
The arrested persons are identified as M Vijay Kishore, a driver from Bellampalli, Chinta Shankar from Mancherial, Mirza Willayath Ali Baig Shakir from B S Maktha and K Bachi Reddy from ECIL.
According to the police, the gang had planned to sell fake tiger skin to people, claiming it to be original skin of a tiger for a whopping Rs 50 lakh or even more.
“They were aware that many people would be interested in keeping the skin at their homes as decorative pieces. They planned to earn huge money easily by selling fake tiger skin,” said a senior police official.
Officials seized one fake tiger skin, a car, and 4 mobile phones, altogether worth Rs 3.5 lakh.
The arrested persons, along with the seized material, were handed over to the Langar Houz police for further action.
