Telangana: SLBC tunnel work will resume soon, says Komatireddy Venkat Reddy


Nalgonda: Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has reassured farmers in the district that the stalled works on the SLBC (Srisailam Left Bank Canal) tunnel project would be resumed soon. The project would be completed in three years.

Speaking at an event in G Edavelli village on Tuesday, the Minister explained that the SLBC tunnel project, initially undertaken at a cost of Rs 4,000 crore, had faced major setbacks due to structural issues that caused a section of the tunnel to collapse. However, with the State government’s renewed efforts, the works will recommence, ensuring the project’s completion within the stipulated time.


In healthcare, he announced the installation of an advanced glaucoma screening machine at Kanagal hospital and emphasised commitment to develop it on a par with district hospital standards.
