BITS Pilani, Manchester varsity sign MoU


Hyderabad: BITS Pilani has signed a MoU with the University of Manchester for promoting joint academic and research efforts. The partnership concentrates on the joint development of quality academic degree programmes, undertakes joint research, and enables the movement of students and faculty.

It also provides avenues for collaboration with industry, teaching, online education, and co-supervision of doctoral studies, and facilitates dual or joint degrees regulated by Indian authorities (UGC and AICTE).


University of Manchester Associate Vice President International Prof. Stephen Flint said the University was delighted to enter into the agreement with India’s premier private institution to co-create a portfolio of high-quality programmes across science and engineering.

BITS Pilani Vice Chancellor Prof Ramgopal Rao said by collaborating with a globally renowned institution like the University of Manchester, the Institute is confident that it can create transformative learning experiences for students and contribute to cutting-edge research that addresses pressing global challenges.
