Warangal: GITAM University, Visakhapatnam has awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) to a research scholar from Warangal, Deepthi Rayilla, informed the university registrar Gunasekaran D.
The university’s School of Pharmacy awarded the PhD for her thesis entitled “Evaluation of Protective Effects of Selected Natural Compounds Against Adenine-Induced Chronic Kidney Damage and Cardiovascular Alterations-Targeting TGF-β1 and Caspase 3”.
She did her research under the supervision of an associate professor in Pharmacology Dr G Suhasin. Deepthi is currently serving as associate professor in Care College of Pharmacy, Oglapur in Hanamkonda district.
She was congratulated by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Gouthama Rao Yejju, registrar, Dean of Pharmacy Dr. B Jagattaran Das, Principal Visakhapatnam campus Prof. L.Srinivas, fellow scholars, colleagues and others.
