A man was booked for illegally transporting sorghum grains from Maharashtra to Telangana, at an inter-state check-post at Laxmipur village in Thalamadu mandal on Tuesday

Adilabad: A man was booked for illegally transporting sorghum grains from Maharashtra to Telangana, at an inter-state check-post at Laxmipur village in Thalamadu mandal on Tuesday.
Police seized 30 quintals of grains and a lorry from him.
Police said that a case was registered against Boya Rajesh Pimpul from Dhule district of Maharashtra for shipping the grains without obtaining relevant permission from the neighboring state to Adilabad town to get a bonus announced by the government, during a vehicle check held jointly by both police and officials from the agriculture department at the check-post.
The grains and lorry were handed over to the agriculture department for further action.
