Warangal: A BSF jawan from Narsampet in the district died, allegedly by suicide, in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sampangi Nagaraju (28) was posted in Samba Sector for the last three years and shot himself with his service rifle on Sunday. Family problems and mental distress were said to be the reason behind the extreme step. He joined BSF in 2016 and visited his hometown on leave last March and returned on April 23. Since then, he used to talk to his parents regularly on the phone. Nagaraju’s brother Venkatesh died a year ago. The last rites of the jawan were held on Tuesday.
