Hyderabad: Man assaulted and robbed by fake vehicle finance agents
Mohd Abdul Basheer, an AC technician from Moinabad, alleged in his complaint that on the night of May 20, while riding his uncle’s bike from Mehdipatnam towards Aramghar, he was stopped near Kala Hanuman Temple by assailants who claimed that finance payments were pending on the bike.

Hyderabad: A man approached the Attapur police alleging he was assaulted and robbed by two unidentified persons posing as vehicle finance agents.
Mohd Abdul Basheer, an AC technician from Moinabad, in his complaint alleged that on the night of May 20, when he was proceeding on his uncle’s bike from Mehdipatnam towards Aramghar, the assailants stopped him near Kala Hanuman Temple and said that finance payments were pending on the bike.
They tried to take away the bike key, to which Abdul Basheer resisted. An argument ensued between them and the duo abused and extorted Rs 2,500 from him. They fled from the spot leaving the bike.
Based on a complaint on Thursday, the Attapur police booked a case and are investigating.
