Hyderabad: A complaint was lodged against Kanthi Dutt Thonangi (25), the director of Tritiyaa Fine Jewellery, alleging he had cheated investors to the tune of several lakhs.
As per available information, Kanthi Dutt had allegedly promised good returns in his venture, Naomi Patisserie & Bistro, located on Banjara Hills Road No 14 and collected amounts of nearly Rs 60 lakh in 2024.
However, within six months of launching the venture, he shut it down abruptly. Based on the complaint, the Banjara Hills police are investigating.
Earlier, in December 2024, the Jubilee Hills police arrested Kanthi Dutt over charges of cheating investors by promising them huge profits on their investments. However, as the money came in, he misappropriated the funds. He also allegedly forged documents to remove the directors from their positions, transfer their shares and eventually dissolve the company, citing financial losses, the officials said.
Apart from this, four cases, including one hit-and-run case where a person was killed, have been registered against Kanthi Dutt, who is also the director of Dakshin Katha Hospitality and Naomi Patisserie & Bistro, in Cyberabad and Hyderabad Police commissionerates.
