Secunderabad Cantonment Board initiates discussions on new building bylaws, reviews revised budget, maintenance plans

Hyderabad: After certain modifications in the new building bylaws, Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) officials tabled it as main agenda in its Board meeting held on Friday. Discussions on new building bylaws are started.
In fact, though SCB is deemed civic body running administration under the Ministry of Defence (MoD), yet to Cantonment Board doesn’t have seperate building bylaws on the lines of neighbouring GHMC. The proposal of new building bylaws came to light from 2008.
Other key items which are coming up in the Board meeting are included revised budget for the Cantonment Board to spend for the infrastructure and other amenities to the Cantonment citizens, for the year 2026-27.
The Board also discussed about sanctioning of certain maintain works for the water supply and drainage system.
The Board meeting chaired by President Cantonment Board, Brigadier Nanjundeshwara. Cantonment Congress MLA, Sriganesh and Civilian nominated member, Bhanuka Narmada at present in the Board meeting.
