Telangana: Police provides driving licenses to tribal youth in Kothagudem


Kothagudem: Dammapeta police have provided two cum four-wheeler licenses to tribal youth in order to ensure their livelihood support.

Following the directions of Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju, 12 youths of Poosukunta, a hamlet of Konda Reddi tribe in Dammapet were trained and given driving licenses. The SP handed over the license copies to them at his office here on Friday.


Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that the Police Department would support the youths living in tribal and agency areas. Programmes like organising sports competitions and job coaching classes would be undertaken for them. Tribal youths should not get addicted to alcohol, he advised.

Many tribal youths were being caught without driving licenses during vehicle inspections. Driving licenses would be issued to the youth living in the agency areas under the jurisdiction of all police stations in the district, Rohith Raju said. Dammapet SI Sai Kishore Reddy was present.
