Registrations for Civil Services exam drop in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The number of candidates taking the prestigious Civil Services Examinations in Hyderabad has come down. As many as 43,676 candidates registered to appear for the exam in Hyderabad this year as against 45,153 last year.
The Hyderabad district administration has made elaborate arrangements, including setting up a control room and jammers at the centres, for the preliminary examination scheduled for Sunday. The paper – I will be conducted from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and paper – II from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm at 95 centres.
The district administration said entry into the centre would be closed 30 minutes before the examination commencement and no candidate will be allowed to leave before completion of the entire examination.
“Last year a few students lost their attempt as they had arrived late at the venue for the afternoon session. Students are advised to be present within the venue 45 minutes before the intimated deadline,” said Gopala Krishna, Director Brain Train.
Points to Remember
– Carrying e-admit card and valid original photo ID card mandatory
– e-Admit card, black ball point pen, pencil, identity proof, copies of self-photographs and transparent water bottle permitted
– Centre gates will be opened one and a half hours prior to exam commencement
– Gates will be closed 30 minutes before the exam commencement
– Normal or simple analog wristwatch permitted
– No cloakroom facility available at the centre

Carry bags, mobile phones, digital watches, smart-watches, Bluetooth devices, IT gadgets, or any other electronic equipment, lighters, matchboxes
