Hyderabad: Four doctors of community health centre at Alair and three health staff of Gundala primary health centre in Yadadri-Bhongir district were served show cause notices for their unauthorised absence from duties on Friday following a surprise visit by the District Collector, Hanumant Rao on Friday. The collector warned the staff who had abstained without prior intimation and took serious note of lapses in their services. He warned them of strict action in case of further negligence.

District Collector Hanumant Rao has issued a stern warning to medical staff, stating that any negligence in duties will result in strict action. The Collector conducted a surprise inspection at the Community Health Center in Alair, expressing his shock over the absence of the doctors.


Among those who received show-cause notices for not attending duties at Alair Health Centre were Superintendent Dr. Swapna Rathod, Dr. Sridhar, Dr. Rajini, and Dr. Swapna. The Collector reviewed the hospital’s maintenance, inquired about staff details, and emphasized the need to keep the surroundings clean. He also inspected the attendance register and stressed that medical staff should be vigilant and provide timely services to patients to avoid any inconvenience.

Later, the Collector conducted a surprise inspection at the Primary Health Center in Gundala mandal. He emphasized the importance of doctors being available to provide quality services to the public. He reiterated that any negligence in duties would lead to strict actions. The Collector inspected the registers related to doctors and staff at the hospital and issued show-cause notices to those absent, including P. Venkatesam, Community Health Officer, Karuna (MPHS), and Vanaja Kumari.
