Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday took a dig at the BJP, ridiculing the party’s claims of development by pointing to recurring infrastructure failures in the Centre’s projects. He criticised the BJP leaders for commenting on the massive Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme, despite being unable to construct a roof properly.
Referring to the collapse of the Rs 430-crore Cherlapalli Railway Station in Hyderabad and repeated roof collapses at the Delhi airport, Rama Rao said that all it took was a simple rain to expose the BJP-marked development. He reminded that the roof at Delhi airport had collapsed even last year and after reconstruction, it took only one shower to bring it all down again.
“It is a pity that they cannot even build a roof properly but want to comment on the Kaleshwaram project. I wonder which agency will study the BJP’s amazing new model of shapeshifter roofs?” he said, taking a swipe at the BJP-led Centre.
