Telangana: Women question poor implementation of Indiramma housing scheme in Kothagudem

Women expressing anger against the irregularities in the implementation of Indiramma houses scheme at a programme attended by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in Kothagudem.

Kothagudem: Women have staged a protest against the irregularities in the implementation of Indiramma houses scheme at a programme attended by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

The incident occurred at Aswaraopet in the district on Monday. The Minister participated in the awareness conference held on Bhu Bharati – 2025 Act. After the programme was over and the Minister was leaving the spot the women along with some locals started questioning the government for failing to allot Indiramma houses for the poor.


Though the government claimed priority was given to the poor in sanctioning Indiramma houses it was not happening at ground level. Ineligible persons were being sanctioned Indiramma houses, the women complained, the women said.

However, the Minister could not hear them as they were at the edge of the crowd that surrounded the Minister.
