Drug racket busted in Hyderabad; two interstate drug peddlers, three consumers arrested

The peddlers procured marijuana at low rates from dealers in other States and smuggled it to Hyderabad and sold it at higher rates to consumers in the city, say police

Hyderabad: The Task Force (West) team, along with the Gachibowli police, busted a drug racket and nabbed two interstate drug peddlers and three drug consumers and seized 14 kg of marijuana from them on Thursday.

The arrested persons are Ranjan Nayak from Odisha and Gobin Bonia from Assam — both drug peddlers — and Kushal Singh, Dablu Thakur and Aditya Singh Chauhan — all three consumers from Hyderabad.

Police said the drug peddlers procured marijuana at low rates from dealers in other States and smuggled it to Hyderabad and sold it at higher rates to consumers here.
