Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught T Sridhar, a senior assistant in the District Prohibition and Excise Office, Vikarabad, on charges of demanding and accepting bribe on Friday.
The bribe amount of Rs 8,000 was seized from him.
ACB officials said Sridhar allegedly demanded a bribe from the complainant for processing a Travel Allowance (TA) bill.
The arrested employee was produced before the special court for ACB cases at Nampally for remanding in judicial custody.
ACB cases in April:
In April 2025, the ACB booked a total of 21 cases or enquires. Of these, 13 were trap cases, 2 disproportionate cases, 2 criminal misconduct cases, 2 regular enquiries and 2 surprise checks.
As many as 20 public servants were arrested and remanded in judicial custody and a total of Rs 5 lakh bribe amount was seized in the traps.
Apart from this, in one disproportionate assets case, assets worth of Rs 3.5 crore was unearthed.
