Siddipet: In a noteworthy effort to encourage the younger generation to read the Bhagavad Gita and follow the teachings of Lord Krishna, a man gifted a copy of the holy book to every guest attending his daughter’s wedding in Siddipet town on Friday.
The guests were pleasantly surprised by the unique return gift, but accepted it graciously, thanking the host for such a thoughtful gesture.
Vallaboju Buchibabu and his wife Latha, residents of Siddipet town, arranged the wedding of their daughter Chandana with Harshavardhan.
Being associated with the Hare Krishna movement for several years, Buchibabu was inspired to distribute copies of the Gita after observing that many in the younger generation were unfamiliar with its teachings.
Buchibabu hoped that the initiative would motivate young people to lead a righteous life and inspire their peers and family members to read the Bhagavad Gita as well.
The bride and groom, Chandana and Harshavardhan, were delighted by the positive response from the guests, who appreciated the spiritual significance of the gift. The gesture by Buchibabu has since become the talk of the town in Siddipet.
