Hyderabad teen booked for pro-Pakistan posts, derogatory remarks against India and Operation Sindoor

According to available information, the young woman, a second-year BBA student at a private college in Champapet, allegedly posted “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan) on her Instagram story.

Hyderabad: A young woman from the city was booked for allegedly making derogatory, hateful and objectionable remarks on social media, particularly targeting India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Pakistan.
As per available information, the teenaged woman ,who is a BBA second year student from a private college in Champapet here, had allegedly posted “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan) on her Instagram story.
Further, she also updated Instagram stories and WhatsApp statuses with alleged hateful and derogatory remarks against India, the national flag and Operation Sindoor. The posts expressed views supporting Pakistan, while spreading hate against India.
The incident reached the college management, which lodged a complaint with the IS Sadan police seeking necessary action.
Based on the complaint, the IS Sadan police booked a case under sections of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), including 196 and 353(2) and took up investigation.
Police officials said they were conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. Following which, necessary action will be taken.
Meanwhile, the college management had also suspended the student and initiated an internal enquiry.
