Telangana: SP Akhil Mahajan raids; 13 scrap traders booked in Adilabad

Adilabad: Police conducted raids on scrap shops and seized large quantities of copper, vehicles and motors bought from thieves, here on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan said 35 teams simultaneously carried out the raids on 13 shops in several parts of the district. The teams seized large quantities of copper, vehicles, batteries, cylinders, iron wires and many other goods procured from thieves. Cases were booked against the owners of the shops and investigations were taken up.
Traders of the scrap who were booked included Rafeeq, Isaq, Mohammad Fayaz, Riyaz, Sameer from Adilabad, Syed Babu belonging to Mavala mandal centre, Gore of Khurshidnagar, Afraz Battiya, Bela, Karan, Indervelli, Muzzu and Shabbir Khan, Ichoda, Satpure Pramod, Gudihathnoor and Shaik Younus of Neradigonda mandal headquarters.
