One killed, one injured as car rams into stationary lorry in Adilabad

Nirmal: A man was killed on the spot, while another person sustained injuries when a car rammed a stationary lorry at Rolmamada village in Neradigonda mandal on Sunday.
Police said that Kotturvar Venkatesh, 35, an employee of an insurance company from Nirmal town, received grievous injuries when the car dashed against the lorry parked on NH 44 at a toll plaza near the village, resulting in his instantaneous death. Venkatesh’s friend Anwesh Bommidivar had minor injuries in the accident.
Anwesh was shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adilabad.
Based on a complaint received from a family member of Venkatesh, a case was registered against the driver of the lorry, who was absconding following the mishap. Investigations were conducted. A search was launched for nabbing the driver.
