Police install ANPR cameras at two intersections in Sangareddy

Saying that the cameras would work round the clock, the SP said the signal timings can be changed easily on these traffic signals whenever the traffic flow alters.

Traffic signals with ANPR camers are installed at two traffic intersections in Sangareddy town
Sangareddy: To check traffic violations, the Sangareddy police have installed traffic signals with automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras at two key intersections at Pothireddypally junction and IB guest house on Tuesday.
Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha inaugurated these traffic signals during a programme. Speaking on the occasion, SP Paritosh Pankaj said they would impose fines on traffic violators by tracking the movement of vehicles on these high definition cameras.
Saying that the cameras would work round the clock, the SP said the signal timings can be changed easily on these traffic signals whenever the traffic flow alters.
DSP Sattaiah Goud, Traffic Inspector Suman and others were present.
