One more cheating case registered against self-declared Aghori


Karimnagar: One more case was registered against the self-declared Aghori, Ellari Srinivas.

Kothapalli police registered the case on charges of cheating a woman. Based on the complaint lodged by the victim on April 28, police registered the case under section 64(1), 87, 318(4), 351(2) BNS Act.


Police sources said Srinivas had kidnapped the woman on November 21 last year and abused her sexually. Later, she was also taken to Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple where he tied a sacred thread around her neck.

Srinivas, who took Rs 3 lakh from her, warned her of severe consequences if the matter was revealed to others. He had first became friends with her over phone, and initially used to talk to her about Sanatana Dharma.

Earlier, Mokila police had arrested Srinivas in connection with a case and produced him in the court. He is currently lodged in Chanchalguda jail.
