Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to draw up comprehensive plans for the rapid development of the Telangana Core Urban Region within the Outer Ring Road (ORR). He also wanted simplified permission process for construction of various types of structures.
While the previous BRS government introduced TS-bPASS for simplified and single-window building permission system, the current Congress government replaced it with ‘BuildNow’ mobile applications with the same objective.
Reviewing the Urban Core Region development on Wednesday, the Chief Minister stressed the need for simplified services, including a unified billing system and streamlined permissions for development activities. Under the new system, the amount paid by the consumers would be credited in the accounts of the respective departments. He called for the integration of departments like GHMC, HMWSSB, electricity and other departments to ensure citizen-friendly governance.
In the wake of rapid urban development, Revanth Reddy suggested forming an expert committee and conducting a LIDAR survey for accurate mapping of properties, tanks, and canals. He underscored the need for precise documentation to guide planned and efficient urban development.
