Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), which serves nearly 10 lakh people in Greater Hyderabad and its peripheries, has failed to update its portal, especially the Board of Directors column.
The HMWSSB’s board has a total of 11 members, including Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who is the chairman of the HMWSSB. On the portal, meanwhile, A Santhi Kumari, who retired as Chief Secretary on April 30, still finds her name listed in the Board of Directors column in the same post. Surprisingly, K Ramakrishna Rao, who assumed the role of Chief Secretary on May 1, is still shown with his old designation, Special Chief Secretary, Finance.
Simultaneously, another senior official in the State government, M Dana Kishore, who was transferred and posted as Principal Secretary (LET&F), is still shown in his previous position on the Water Board’s portal. Another IAS officer, Ilambarithi, who was shifted from the GHMC and posted as Secretary to Metropolitan Area & Urban Development Department (HMDA limits), is still listed as GHMC Commissioner on the Water Board’s portal.
The post of RV Karnan, who was transferred and posted as GHMC Commissioner in place of Ilambarithi, is also not updated in the HMWS&SB’s official portal. A senior official of the State government, angered by the apathy of the HMWSSB, has expressed the need to update the information in the Board of Directors as a priority.
