Mancherial: A self-styled female Aghora, who created a flutter by announcing that she would immolate herself at a temple of Hyderabad, was handed over to her parents at Kushnepalli village in Nennal mandal on Friday.

Bellampalli ACP Ravi Kumar said that the person was handed over to her parents. He stated that her parents were counselled by police over the consequences of her act. On October 29, the woman, who identified herself as Shiva Brahma Vishnu mata declared she would sacrifice herself by plunging in a fire pond at Muthyalamma temple in Hyderabad to protect Sanathana dharma of Hindu religion, while she was touring Vemulawada town on November 2. She was shifted to Kushnepalli and reportedly was placed under house arrest to prevent her from resorting to the extreme step.


Police stepped up security at her residence to prevent untoward incidents in Kushenpalli. They imposed restrictions in the village. They did not allow anyone to meet her. A mild tension prevailed when police prevented devotees from meeting her. However, she withdrew her decision, ending suspense over her announcement.
