Hyderabad: BJP Floor Leader Alleti Maheswar Reddy alleged that the Congress high command was contemplating to replace Chief Minister Revanth Reddy after the local body elections as the Cabinet got split into two groups due to difference of opinion.

The Chief Minister’s repeated outburst about Telangana’s financial situation did not go well with a section of Ministers and leaders. This was also one of the reasons for the rift between the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, he charged during an informal chat with media persons on Friday.

As the inordinate delay over cabinet expansion was leaving the aspirants worried, the BJP Floor Leader claimed that Chief Minister was obstructing the cabinet expansion fearing that new Ministers would work against him.

Loyal Congress leaders were concerned about the party’s prospects in the next elections. They were worried that Chief Minister’s decisions would turn counterproductive for the party, he stressed according to reports.

“Many are maintaining a safe distance from the Chief Minister. Already, a few Telangana senior leaders submitted their reports to the Congress high command about Revanth Reddy’s performance,” Alleti Maheswar Reddy said as per the reports.
