The weather department has extended its orange warning for three more days in several districts

Hyderabad: Heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are expected to continue in Telangana till May 23, according to the Hyderabad MET weather forecast on Friday.

The weather department has extended its orange warning for three more days in several districts. A yellow warning (medium impact) accompanied with thunderstorms has also been issued for multiple districts for the next three to four days.

Meanwhile, multiple locations in Hyderabad and districts between Thursday night and early hours of Friday witnessed overnight rains, which brought down temperatures. In the same time frame, all regions of Telangana State received good amounts of rainfall, real-time weather data from Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) indicated.

T Balaji, known for his real-time weather forecasting on X, on Friday posted, “Monsoon weather and rains will start very early this time. Requesting farmers to start sowing the seeds from May 18 or 19 for get good yield. Even temperatures will drop very well after May 20. It will definitely help your crop after June first week. A break spell of monsoons likely in June second or third week. So it’s better to prepone the sowing of seeds (sic).”
