BRS questions Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Group-1 irregularities

Hyderabad: BRS MLA Dr K Sanjay slammed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for ignoring the concerns of Group-1 aspirants and failing to address alleged irregularities in the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) exams. He questioned the Chief Minister’s silence on the ongoing protests by students and aspirants.

Speaking at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, Sanjay said Revanth Reddy did not review the Group-1 aspirants protests even once. “Hall ticket numbers were mysteriously changed and results were declared with 10 candidates additional to those who wrote the exam. The provisional mark list is still not released,” he said.

Citing the court’s observations, he said the Group-1 process was riddled with discrepancies, especially at Koti Women’s College, where only women candidates appeared with nearly 12.61 per cent of the selected candidates from this single centre. He said only 50 Telugu medium students were selected as if their language is a barrier for government job.

Sanjay, along with MLA Anil Jadhav, condemned the SC/ST atrocity case filed against party MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, calling it politically motivated. “Is it a crime to question how Ramulu Naik’s daughter-in-law scored high marks in the Groups exam? These cases are being filed under pressure from the ruling party members,” they said.
