Oil tanker parked near LPG cylinder-laden trucks catches fire; major disaster averted in Hyderabad’s Cherlapally

Hyderabad: A major disaster was averted at Cherlapally when a tanker carrying oil parked near trucks laden with LPG cylinders caught fire on Sunday.
The incident occurred on the Cherlapally road where the oil tanker was parked in close proximity to trucks loaded with LPG cylinders. The oil tanker caught fire after the battery of the vehicle burst.
On information, a fire tender from the Cherlapally fire station rushed to the spot and doused the fire immediately. As a precautionary measure, the fire personnel sprinkled water on the LPG cylinder to prevent any mishap.
The LPG cylinder trucks were later shifted away to a safe distance. The oil tanker was later moved from the road with the help of a crane
