Telangana: Medak cops rescue girl from check dam near Edupayala temple

The quick response team members patrolling the area see the girl slip into the water body following which one of them jumps into the water and rescues her

Medak: Immediate response from the quick response team (QRT) formed by Medak SP D Uday Kumar Reddy saved the life of a girl who slipped and fell into a check dam at the Sri Vanadurga Bhavani temple, Edupayala here.

Since frequent drowning incidents were reported at the temple, the SP deputed ARSI K Srinivas, constables, Yadagiri and Rajendar to the temple premises on Sunday when the temple receives a huge number of devotees. While they were patrolling the area, a girl slipped into the water body following which one of the QRT members jumped into the water body and rescued her. She was taken to the hospital immediately.

Devotees of the temple appreciated the efforts of the QRT. Later, the team also helped a boy, who was found roaming alone on the premises of the temple, return to his friends.
